Onsite AV Technician
The A/V Tech will have experience in the product portfolios and proven ability to maintain and support the following:

• Cisco/Tandberg & Polycom Products
• Crestron Products
• AV conference room configurations

Responsibilities:

• The Resident AV Technicians primary responsibility for AV support for the specified office location(s) and conference meeting spaces.
• AV room preparation
• AV room pre-meeting testing
• Launch video calls from Cisco/Tandberg TMS or manually dial video calls in the room where remote launching by IVCi is not available for any reason
• Adjustments to AV components during meetings
• Shut down AV components according to SHARED TECHNOLOGIES, INC. processes and procedures
• Complete Monthly preventative maintenance tasks for AV components in each room (checklist)
• Assist in support certifications, test and accept for the video end points that reside outside the NSLIJ network
• Troubleshooting pc based video applications for end users

Skills required:

• PC literacy, emailing, MS Office portfolio, remote desktop access, internet browser.
• Knowledge of IP addressing, internet usage and terminology.
• Video conferencing support knowledge, Gatekeeper registration, e.164 dialing, ISDN H.320 support, VC setup, and optimal configurations.
• Experienced with pc based video applications.
• Experience with integrated audio visual conference room configurations and room controls
• Experience with sharing content through video conferencing equipment
• Experience with audio, web conferencing and media broadcast streaming applications
• Understanding of AV wiring, connectors, data wiring (Cat5e), baluns, USB adaptation.
• Experience with Remedy or similar trouble ticketing systems.
