| Description |
Onsite AV Technician The A/V Tech will have experience in the product portfolios and proven ability to maintain and support the following:
- Cisco/Tandberg & Polycom Products
- Crestron Products
- AV conference room configurations
Responsibilities:
- The Resident AV Technicians primary responsibility for AV support for the specified office location(s) and conference meeting spaces.
- AV room preparation
- AV room pre-meeting testing
- Launch video calls from Cisco/Tandberg TMS or manually dial video calls in the room where remote launching by IVCi is not available for any reason
- Adjustments to AV components during meetings
- Shut down AV components according to SHARED TECHNOLOGIES, INC. processes and procedures
- Complete Monthly preventative maintenance tasks for AV components in each room (checklist)
- Assist in support certifications, test and accept for the video end points that reside outside the NSLIJ network
- Troubleshooting pc based video applications for end users
Skills required:
- PC literacy, emailing, MS Office portfolio, remote desktop access, internet browser.
- Knowledge of IP addressing, internet usage and terminology.
- Video conferencing support knowledge, Gatekeeper registration, e.164 dialing, ISDN H.320 support, VC setup, and optimal configurations.
- Experienced with pc based video applications.
- Experience with integrated audio visual conference room configurations and room controls
- Experience with sharing content through video conferencing equipment
- Experience with audio, web conferencing and media broadcast streaming applications
- Understanding of AV wiring, connectors, data wiring (Cat5e), baluns, USB adaptation.
- Experience with Remedy or similar trouble ticketing systems.
