Onsite Video Support Engineer

We are currently seeking an Onsite Video Support Engineer to join our team in Omaha, NE. This person will act as an onsite extension of the IVCi help desk. In this role, the Onsite Video Engineer will work trouble tickets and service issues in real time onsite at the customer premises.

Main Job Functions:

  • Provide local support to client, as well as IVCi, for resolution of any issues related to the conference room environment
  • Provide videoconferencing and audiovisual support for meetings as needed
  • Follow ticket process accordingly both within IVCi
  • Install/move VC equipment on demand; manage customers’ change management requirements
  • Deliver and install any video conference systems and video infrastructure
  • Manage customer change management process (CCSN) for all video conference endpoint and infrastructure
  • Maintain knowledge of customers’ a/v systems, videoconference systems, infrastructure and network environment
  • Manage and track all inventories in or out of production, including up-to-date maintenance and coordinating serial numbers
  • Conduct and coordinate onsite preventative maintenance visits for all rooms within the customer environment
  • In conjunction with IVCi’s help desk,  manage any trouble tickets associated with the successful operation of conference room equipment
  • Create various documents related to basic training and user orientation as needed
  • Provide training and basic user orientation as needed
  • Maintain good communications and client interaction skills
  • Attend weekly conferences with customer and related partners
  • Perform site certifications
  • Perform special projects as directed by management
  • Ability to perform occasional off-hours work
  • Research, compile data and recommend new or advanced videoconferencing or audiovisual products
  • Process client RMAs as needed

Abilities Preferred:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
