The award-winning RAV premium conferencing system can now be ordered with a wired controller, or with the wireless controller that has been shipping with the product for some time. In response to customer requests, ClearOne developed a wired controller for those who want a solution that doesn't use batteries. The existing wireless controller uses four AAA batteries that typically last several months; the RAV wired controller draws power from the auto mixer and will never require battery replacement.

"We have received very positive feedback from customers about the controller on our RAV platform," said Kurt Olsen, Director of Product Marketing for ClearOne Communications. "In fact, we have customers that have standardized on RAV who stated that one of the primary reasons was because of the design and ease of use of the controller. Now, customers will have the option to choose either a wireless or wired controller, depending on their specific requirements."

The affordable ClearOne RAV Wired Controller for ClearOne's XAP platform gives XAP users the ability to easily start and navigate an audio conference without the need for touch panel control systems, which can be expensive, complex, or intimidating to users.

ClearOne RAV Wired Controller Key Benefits

The ClearOne RAV Wired Controller also offers five user-definable keys to manage the most commonly-used audio conference and presentation control functions, such as:

These keys are easily programmed using the included configuration builder software. The device connects directly to the XAP and provides full audio function control. It can also execute commands that are sent to third-party devices that are connected to communications ports on the XAP.

The Tabletop Controller can cost thousands less than touch-screen panel control systems, and its simplified setup for the user-definable keys can save customers programming time and expense as well. When combined with XAP, users can now more easily afford to install professional conferencing into rooms that don't justify the expense of a full control system.

Along with its sleek, functional design, this latest offering from ClearOne delivers the most affordable, attractive and easy-to-use control solution for XAP systems on the market.
