IVCi Opens New Regional Sales & Development Office
in Atlanta, GA
BAY SHORE, New York - February 1, 1999 - International Video-Conferencing, Inc. (IVCi), a leading integrator of video conferencing and audio/visual solutions, today announced the opening of a sales and development office in Atlanta, GA. This office will cover Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Florida and Alabama, which represents a broadened mainstream market for IVCi's wide-variety of high performance and innovative video conferencing and audio/visual products.
“By choosing to locate our first satellite office in the southeast region of the United States, we recognize the staggering growth that this region has undergone throughout this decade. We feel that with the number and variety of rapidly growing companies in these areas, there is a tremendous potential and requirement for the integration of video conferencing technology,” said Robert Swing, Vice President of sales for IVCi. “We have the full support of our manufacturing partners, including both Polycom and PictureTel, world leaders in the video conferencing industry, and have already developed a strong relationship with their sales and marketing personnel in this region.”
The Atlanta office will be managed by Richard Blackwell, who will act as the Sales Director for this region. In January, Blackwell was appointed as IVCi's Chief Technology Officer (CTO), and will continue to serve in that roll as well as handle sales and operational management of this new office. Blackwell has been involved in the video conferencing industry for almost a decade, and was most recently the Director Of New Product Development for VCON, Inc., a leading manufacturer of desktop and roll-about video conferencing solutions. He also served as the Chairperson of the H.323 committee at Telecon-98 last October, and has written numerous articles for video conferencing and audio/visual trade magazines over the last ten years.
Since early 1995, IVCi has been recognized as one of the premier integrators of video conferencing and audio/visual solutions in the northeast United States. They provide their clients with the means to have face-to-face meetings with customers, vendors and business associates throughout the world without ever having to leave their office. As Dealers and Distributors for Polycom, PictureTel, Zydacron, VCON, VideoServer, RadVision and Crestron, IVCi has the unique ability to provide its customers with a one-stop solution for all of their video integration requirements. The company also distributes various peripheral products from Sony, Canon, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, Bose, InFocus, Extron, Denon, Plus Corp., and well as numerous other manufacturers.
For additional information, IVCi can be reached at their Corporate Headquarters in Bay Shore, NY at 800-224-7083 and in the Southeast Regional Office at (404) 352-5385.
