IVCi Achieves Audio/Visual Industry Certification

Certified A/V Solutions Provider Program Marks Commitment to Education and Training

Hauppauge, NY, August 26, 2004 - IVCi (www.ivci.com), a leading integrator of managed enterprise conferencing and audio/visual solutions, today announced its participation in the audio/visual industry's highly regarded certification program, marking its commitment to education and training for all employees.

The Certified Audio/Visual Solutions Provider (CAVSP) Program is the industry standard certification program for companies in the professional audio/visual industry. It is administered by The International Communications Industries Association, Inc.® (ICIA®) and the International Communications Industries Foundation (ICIF).

“A CAVSP designation gives A/V companies a competitive advantage in the marketplace,” said Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D., ICIA's executive director. “Customers of audio/visual communications and presentation systems can be confident of professionalism and an aspiration to excellence when working with these companies that have invested in education and training to stay current on the latest A/V technologies and techniques.”

“IVCi has achieved the status of Silver Certification showing our commitment to education and training,” said Tim Hennen, Assistant Vice President of IVCi’s Audio/Visual & Systems Integration Team. “Members of the A/V Division have earned advanced certifications in their area of expertise including Installation and Design. In addition, almost every member of IVCI’s Project Management and Sales Teams has earned a CTS Certification, qualifying IVCi for Silver status, a distinguished classification reached by companies that employ a 75% CTS-certified staff. We firmly believe in education and make it a priority for every member of our team.”

Companies eligible for CAVSP status include businesses that manufacture, sell, integrate, design, provide consultation on or rent A/V equipment, systems and services. The CAVSP program (formerly ICIA's Certified Member Program) ties in with the AVolution Industry Awareness Campaign that promotes the skills and talents of professional A/V solutions providers (AVSPs). To achieve CAVSP status, the company must participate in AVolution by agreeing to 10 Standards of Excellence.
