NEW YORK, NY and OSLO, NORWAY - (Marketwire) - 06/16/09 - Today, the TANDBERG Codec C90 was recognized as the "Most Innovative Audio/Video Conferencing Product" by InfoComm International and Systems Contractor News magazine. The award was announced at InfoComm's annual AV Awards Ceremony held during InfoComm 09, the largest professional audiovisual and information communications tradeshow worldwide.

"We are very pleased to be recognized for our innovation and dedication to supporting the integrator community with cutting edge technology," said Peter Nutley, Director Global Product Marketing, TANDBERG (OSLO: TAA). "The TANDBERG Codec C90 is the most powerful, flexible telepresence and collaboration engine available. It is the Swiss army knife of video integration tools, with its ability to deliver the highest-quality video experience in a variety of settings and situations and ensure that every participant has the best experience possible."

The TANDBERG Codec C90 is a powerful, standards compliant telepresence and collaboration engine that pushes the boundaries of integration capabilities from a single device. It is the only product of its kind that can share five HD sources simultaneously and present unique views to participants based on their system and the number of displays available. With its 12 HD video inputs, four HD video outputs, and a built-in audio mixer with 14 audio inputs and eight audio outputs, the C90 provides integrators with extreme flexibility to connect multiple sources and tailor solutions to meet the unique needs of end users. Moreover, customers have access to the latest technology through software upgrades, which simplifies installation, upgrades, and scalability for a strong return on investment

The TANDBERG Codec C90 and C60 will be prominently featured at the TANDBERG booth (#3541) at 2009 InfoComm in Orlando from June 17 - 19. Members of the TANDBERG R&D team will be on hand at the booth for a sneak preview of a software release for both codecs that will be available in Q3 2009.

Additionally, a new video compositor demo that allows administrators to experience the efficiency and flexibility of the codecs in real time will be featured along with the new TANDBERG Audio Console Tool.

Upgrades to the Codec C90 include:

  • Ability to share presentations and other multimedia in premium UXGA resolution
  • Video compositing for easy control at the near end and far end; especially useful in education, collaboration studios, and auditorium settings
  • High-definition 1080p30 and 720p60 resolutions

"The TANDBERG C90 brings magic to the Cyviz C1, which is our premium product for collaborative environments. It was the natural choice because of its superior collaboration capabilities and full HD support for the best image quality," said CEO Joar Vaage, Cyviz. "TANDBERG has delivered an exceptional product that eases integration and use, and we are confident that with the C90 fully integrated into the Cyviz C1, our clients' communication requirements will not only be met, they will be exceeded."
