Powerful remote collaboration

Everyone in your meeting can participate – even if they’re connecting remotely. Whether they’re in another meeting room or using their own laptop, your remote colleagues can collaborate with you. You’re connected by audio and video, but digital ink is the key. When you or your remote participants make notes in digital ink, everyone sees them in real time.

Capture and save ideas

With the connector for Lync and SMART solutions, you can record thoughts in digital ink as they arise and save them as part of the original file. All your ideas are captured on the spot – there’s no need to write summaries or revise slides after your meeting. And you can send all your notes to colleagues with just a few clicks.

Starting meetings is a snap

To start collaborating, just log in to your meeting room computer. SMART Meeting Pro launches automatically and you’ll see all your meeting details on the screen – attendees, attachments, and all the information from your original invitation. Then it’s as easy as connecting to the Lync meeting and sharing your screen.

SMART Remote Ink Server

Hardware prerequisite: Minimum requirements for Windows Server 2008 R2 requirement with the following additional requirement – 2GB RAM and 10MB free hard drive space

Network requirements: Minimum 10 Mbps wired network; higher for improved experience

Remote user support: Supported either VPN access or connected through secure WAN

SMART Meeting Pro Room Edition

Operating system: Windows 7 (64 bit or 32 bit or higher): Windows 8 (64-bit or 32-bit or higher)

Software prerequisite: Microsoft Lync 2013 (full client), MS .Net 4.5.1

Hardware prerequisite: Same as SMART Meeting pro 4.0 SP2 or higher

Network requirements: At least 10 Mbps wired network (1 Gbps wired network recommended)

Browser: Windows Internet Explorer 6 Internet browser and above

Other: For scheduled meeting integration feature, SMART Meeting Pro MS Exchange integration needs to be enabled

Start your meeting instantly just by logging in to your meeting room computer. SMART Meeting Pro and Microsoft Lync launch automatically, connecting you to your meeting. Then all you need to do is start your video and share your desktop.

One-touch desktop sharing

Share your screen with a single touch. You can share a variety of information with participants – from spreadsheets to presentations to websites. You can share desktops with little disruption, or make notes over all shared content.

Simultaneous two-way inking

Allow in-room and remote participants to make annotations in digital ink on the whiteboard area or over any application, window, video or document. More than one participant can write at the same time.

Audio and video connection using Lync

Fully engage with participants using the video and audio tools available through Lync.

Instant messaging and presence using Lync

View real time presence for contacts, start up conversations and easily add contacts to existing meetings so they can collaborate with meeting participants.

Simple interface

An easy-to-use toolbar appears automatically when you power up your SMART Board interactive whiteboard or flat panel. Use it to toggle between your desktop and your display, capture screenshots and undo or redo work.

SMART Ink

Write notes over any application or window and save them. Save notes directly into any application with ink tools – including PDF files. Or write notes in digital ink and save them as they are. Regardless of how you save your work, you can distribute files easily through e-mail or USB drives.

Interactive whiteboarding features

Use unlimited interactive whiteboard pages and easily jump from page to page. Use shapes, lines, text, undo and redo, resize, rotate and change object properties, and convert handwriting to text.

Integration with Microsoft Exchange**

Access attachments, attendee information and meeting details sent in the meeting request, and instantly e-mail meeting outcomes to all attendees at the end of the meeting.

Meeting progress bar**

Elapsed meeting time is displayed and a five-minute notification lets you know the meeting is coming to an end.

End meeting function

Business content gallery

An available gallery of images and tools enables users to access ready-made content rather than creating forms and templates from scratch. Use existing content or create your own and save it for reuse.

Keyboard

Work with the On-Screen Keyboard or your system’s wireless keyboard and mouse.

Save function

Take screen shots or area captures of third-party content to include in your interactive whiteboard file. Save all of your work to a single file as a PPT, PDF or image file on your network, computer hard drive or USB drive.

Organize notes

Provides a view of all note pages, which can be sorted by dragging, inserting or deleting pages. Easily reorganize without having to rewrite.

E-mail notes

Quickly distribute all notes and action items by e-mailing them to the team at the end of the meeting.

Multiple-display capability

Enables multiple-display control and content management. Move notes and documents between screens and write on different displays simultaneously.

Participate in meetings with other SMART displays or SMART Room Systems

Share content in meetings where the other end point is another SMART display or a SMART Room System.
