Virtual Meeting Rooms are perfect for spontaneous meetings and allow multiple participants to easily connect over video. Rooms can be accessed from any standards-based video device, along with Microsoft Lync and WebRTC. There are also dial-in numbers for multiple countries enables users who do not have access to video to join the meeting.
Users internal to the company will automatically be allowed into the meeting room while external users from a different company or network will be asked to type a code. A guest/host access control can also be set for additional security. An optional personal control feature allows users to log into their virtual meeting from a PC or mobile device to manage the conference. This includes features like add, remove or mute participants, along with the ability to start/stop recording the meeting.
A unique video address is then assigned to the meeting room for video dialing. It is formatted like an email address and can utilize the organization’s domain name following a email@example.com format. This makes it easy to remember and share with contacts.
