Cisco TelePresence Recording Server

Cisco TelePresence Technology

The Cisco TelePresence Recording Server transforms Cisco TelePresence into a high-definition recording studio. Via an intuitive user interface, you can create and deliver high-quality video for rich, compelling internal or external communications such as organizational updates, training or crisis management. Distributing and viewing video content is instant and easy, and you can replay recordings on Cisco TelePresence endpoints or standard Web browser players.

Providing HD studio recording capabilities in existing Cisco TelePresence rooms adds organizational value and increases the utility and productivity of those rooms. Putting video production in the hands of all users enables organizations to more effectively communicate and collaborate across long distances and between organizations. This can have a positive impact on employee morale, improve and streamline decision making, and tighten communications between remote offices.

Cisco TelePresence Recording Server supports 24 simultaneous recording and playback sessions and can store over 300 hours of high-definition 1080p video recordings. Recordings can be archived automatically on a schedule or transferred to a digital content management system such as the Cisco Digital Media System's Cisco Digital Media Manager. In combination with the Media Experience Engine 3000, the Cisco TelePresence Recording Server can deliver Cisco TelePresence recordings to any video-enabled device including PCs, smartphones and digital signs. Cisco TelePresence Recording Server runs on the same reliable Media Convergence Server platform as Cisco TelePresence Multipoint Switch and Cisco TelePresence Manager.

Cisco TelePresence Recording Server Benefits

  • High-definition recording: Videos are recorded in H.264 1080p in high definition for playback on any Cisco TelePresence system.
  • Standard-definition recording: Videos are simultaneously recorded in standard definition for playback on standard browser-based video players such as Adobe Flash or Apple QuickTime.
  • Auto-collaboration support: You can record videos with full PC data such as presentations or documents using the Cisco TelePresence Auto Collaborate channel to capture the PC data as a separate video stream.
  • Easy-to-use controls: All user controls are incorporated into the Cisco TelePresence IP Phone interface.
  • Onscreen prompting: You are prompted onscreen during the recording session with features such as self-view and data presentation displayed on the main monitor, allowing you to maintain eye contact with your intended audience.
  • Public and private recordings: Videos can be public or private. You can securely deliver recordings via authentication on the viewer side for secure and private access of recordings.
