GlobalMedia Image Automation CONi Services
GlobalMedia Image Automation CONi Services is a transparent cloud-based server client that teams with CapSure® to preserve patient images to a PACS (Picture Archiving Communication System) associated with an EMR (electronic medical record) system.
GlobalMedia Image Automation CONi Services Overview:
CapSure Over Network Interface (CONi)
The best visible light imagery can get lost or misplaced, even in a small healthcare network, without DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communication in Medicine) patient information. Until now, preserving these digital patient images with DICOM information in an Electronic Medical Record or PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) has been an involved process, providing an opportunity for error. This may be due to the limitations of the image automation software or the protocol requirements of the EMR or PACS, or both. Part of the tedious process that may be overlooked involves the picture and data remnants. HIPAA compliancy requires the removal of all patient information from the originating computer at the end of each patient session.
Transparent to the workflow
CONi™ Services is GlobalMedia's unique solution to these actual and potential problems. CONi Services partners with CapSure®, GlobalMedia's image automation software, and associates DICOM data with the medical imagery. This ensures the digital images are preserved appropriately in the patient's EMR or DICOM PACS. CONi Services does this by negotiating with the EMR in order to save the images in the required way.
CONi Services is transparent to the workflow. What the practitioner sees on his or her monitor and uses is CapSure, but the information and commands are given to CONi Services, a DICOM translation product that makes data and images flow to the corrrect patient record. Because CapSure Save and Search commands are CONi Services commands, this eliminates multiple and often confusing processes, better manages the workflow of images, reduces the potential for errors, saves time and money, and most importantly, improves patient healthcare.
