Q: What about interference?
A: The MVIC II wireless video conferencing system utilizes 802.11b Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS). DSSS was developed and patented in the 1940 by Hedy Lamarr (The Movie Actress) to prevent narrow band jamming of remote controlled torpedoes. By the nature of DSSS the RF spectrum is spread to minimize interference from narrow band signals. With ExStream Mobile 20 + years experience in microwave communication we are equipped and understand interference. ExStream Mobile also can provide some very custom RF filtering if required to minimize interference.

Q: What frequencies do you use?
A: ExStream Mobile wireless video conferencing systems utilize 802.11b diversity systems to provide the highest reliable and the best RF range coverage. The US frequencies are from CH 1 to CH 11 (2.412-2.462Ghz).

Q: Our organization currently has wireless 802.11b communications for Intranet/Internet access. Will your system work with our current system?
A: Yes, In fact the ExStream Mobile wireless video conferencing system may be able to seamlessly integrate into your existing network if needed. ExStream Mobile will provide frequency planning to allow an overlay video network to work with your current wireless network to prevent RF frequency interference.

Q: What about wireless security? Will someone be able to intercept our signal?
A: ExStream Mobile utilizes four security measures to secure your communication. We can also encrypt the video conference signal for even greater security if required. This is not just 5 different methods, but 5 methods concurrently!

Q: Do you need to have a FCC license?
A: No FCC license is required!

Q: Can the ExStream Mobile system wireless communicate over a large area?
A: Yes, The ExStream Mobile wireless video conferencing system roams, similar to a cell phone technology. Roaming is enabled through the use of repeaters through out your facility. If you want to cover a larger area simply add more repeaters. Communication outside of your facility can extend up to miles through ExStream Mobile exclusive designs.

Q: What is the wireless operational range of the MVIC system indoors and outdoors?
A: The standard wireless video conferencing operation can extend outdoors from 1000 to 2500 feet. With the optional outdoor configurations the range can extend to multiple miles through ExStream Mobile's exclusive design. The indoors standard range is 300 to 800 feet. With ExStream Mobile's optional repeaters you can roam anywhere within or outside of your facility.

Q: Will the MVIC system wireless communicate from the outside of a facility to the inside of a facility?
A: The MVIC II wireless video conferencing system can penetrate concrete walls and steel doors with ease! ExStream Mobile prides itself on designing the most reliable wireless video conferencing systems.

Q: What does ExStream Mobile do to stabilize the video signal while operating inside a facility?
A: ExStream Mobile utilizes antenna diversity on all of our products to minimize multipath fading. Antenna diversity is recommended by the 802.11 standard, but is not required. For environments with large amounts of interference or reflective surfaces, antenna diversity is highly recommended. Diversity increases cost but the associated performance are well worth the cost.
